Mumineen of Kolkata eagerly await the 'fasal mubarak'. Here is an interesting news item, which proves how Ilteja, Tilawat - Tasabeeh - and the most important of all the building of the MASJID is showing results. Excerpts from the News Report appearing in the Financial Express.

'One reason why Emirates has increased its flights could be that Dawoodi Bohra community's 99-year-old spiritual leader, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb, may visit the city in the middle of December to inaugurate a mosque at Topsia. Around 15,000 disciples are expected to come here via air.'

  1. Asgar uncle, one thing I noticed on trawling the net today.... Marol Jamaat and Pune Jamaat have started working on their sites dedicated to Ashara 1431. On thinking about it, I also realized that Kolkata Jamaat does not have any existing website at all, leave alone for Ashara. Insha Allah, we need to work on this in future, for a permanent website of the jamaat.

  2. True, but let me tell you the I/T team is working on the Ashara Mubaraka 1431 H website, which will be uploaded immediately within hours of the 'fasal mubarak'.

Mumineen of Kolkata are preoccupied and all their energies are now focused on completion of Masjid - a top priority, the reports of which ( 17 OHBAT posts of mine) have caught the imagination of the worldwide community, and that in itslef is no mean achievement.

Just an example will suffice.Yesterday I chanced upon meeting Bhai Joheri Badshah and told him about his pic lifting the heavy carpet load on my blog. Did you see it ? 'Ya my relative from Kuwait rang me up and told me about the photo, and then I logged into your site. !!!

  3. Yes Asgar uncle, your blog right now is THE only source for the developments in Kolkata and it is no mean achievement. Power to you!

Also in future, I hope efforts are put in to have a permanent website of the Jamaat. It would be very useful, as a central site for all Kolkata mumineen to check out for any events or updates in Kolkata, including any notices put up in our Masjid itself.
